Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label | NV

$72.00
The most recognizable Champagne label in the world, the house of Veuve Clicquot is still inspired by Madame Clicquot’s entrepreneurial spirit. Widowed at 27, she took over her husband's wine business and forever changed the world of Champagne by developing an essential technique called "Riddling," a process that involves sharply quarter-turning the bottles daily and gradually tilting them upside-down, so the cloudy sediment works its way to the bottle neck, and then, can be removed. Today, 100% of Veuve's vineyards are herbicide-free and its iconic "Yellow Label" still boasts the house's siganture grape, Pinot Noir (50-55%), with a strong proportion of Chardonnay (28-33%). Golden-yellow in the glass, the nose exudes with yellow orchard fruits, dried flowers, sweet red berries, and hints of toast. Pro tip: let the wine warm-up a bit (about 15 minutes out of the fridge) and try using a larger flute!
