Bodegas La Horra Ribera del Duero, Corimbo | 2015
Bodegas La Horra is the sister winery of legendary Rioja producer, Bodegas Roda. After several years of research, looking for the best plots of Tempranillo, they joined forces with the Balbas family, gatekeepers of coveted old vines of Tinta del País (Tempranillo) in the village of La Horra. First produced in 2008, Corimbo is 100% Tinta del País, farmed organically, aged in the magical combination of American and French oak. In the glass, blackberry, kirsch, and violet are just a few of the aromas that woo the senses. Then on the palate, all the delicious gobs of smoky earth, grilled meat, and spice melt together. So, if you're like me and forgot about Ribera del Duero, then reset your palate and drink Corimbo.
